There are many reasons to be thankful this November; off the top of our heads, our pets for being so awesome, our friends for being so much fun, and our family for making sure that whatever happens, we can always, always laugh. As it turns out, the feeling of gratitude is itself something for which we should be, well, grateful. And why is that? We’re so happy you asked. It has been proven through bonafide scientific research that gratitude improves our physical, mental, and emotional health. And the more we allow ourselves to experience it, the greater those benefits. Fantastic! So this month, we have picked out some things that we think are especially fun, especially cute, and especially neat ways of saying thanks to our pets. We think you’ll like 'em too!
First up, bottoms up! That’s right, before the biggie comes Saturday November 12th, which is National Happy Hour Day! Never in the history of holidays has a holiday been more perfectly timed and perfectly pitched than this. Or should that be pitchered? We digress! And in honor of this happiest of occasions, may we present our Yappy Hour collection. These plush toys will keep your four legged family happy for hours, while you while away the time with friends and your top tipple. And to make it happier still, all the goodies in this collection are, in keeping with the spirit of the occasion, buy one, get one 50% off! Anytime from Friday 11th November through Sunday 13th, use the code YAPPYHOUR to claim your discount. Cheers! 🍻
As responsible and frankly greedy humans, we always make sure to order snacks alongside happy hour drinks, so it’s only right that we share some of the delicious pup snacks we are featuring for fall. Looking for pumpkin spice and all things nice? How about apple and cheese, sure to please? Or banana oat, for the dog that’s the GOAT? We’ve got chicken pot pie for the apple of your eye, and Margherita pizza for an Italian style treat-za. No need for a reason, it’s Thanksgiving season; all puppies love chow, so grab a bag (or two) now!
(Phew, we're enormously thankful for the end of the entirely self-imposed rhyming section of this post! 😂)
When we think of a sundae, we always think the best bit is the hot fudge - or butterscotch! - that sits on top. Added last, tasted first, it’s truly the cat’s pajamas. Now you may wonder what on earth this has to do with anything, or you may be thinking that I am about to tell you for the 100th time about Puppy Scoops amazing dog ice cream, but in fact, it is this dream topping! The absolute geniuses at Plato Pets have come up with a super-duper tasting supplement that you can add as a tasty topper to meals. Their Alaskan Salmon Oil Recipe kibble dribble packs in tons of nutrition with the same fresh fish aroma and taste that dogs love. By blending wild-caught Alaskan Pollock oil with wild-caught Alaskan Salmon oil, it delivers more EPA, more DHA, and more Omega 3 Fatty Acids than ever before. Plato Pet Treats uses only fish that are harvested in a certified, sustainable manner, the oil is made in the U.S.A. with no artificial flavors. Whoop!
One of our deepest commitments at King Dukes is to keep dogs warm and dry whatever the weather - no mean feat in the Pacific Northwest! - and this is where our friends at Kurgo come in. Brand new for fall are these beautiful Loft Jackets which come in 7 gorgeous colors, though, since they are all reversible, that’s really 14 colors 😎. Depending on the breed and size of your dog, the coverage varies from full-butt-to-nape-of-neck, to hip-to-shoulder, and the cut is slightly fitted to allow for full freedom of movement for even the most athletic of pups. All this, plus a 2-way zipper for easy access to harnesses and collars, two side adjustment points with hook and loop material that is water-resistant, and easy to spot reflective accents. Get yours today!
Now one of the things we have come to expect as pet parents is that occasionally, even four legs are insufficient to move a pup from place to place, and now we have the perfect solution! Introducing the PocoPet, the ultralight pet carrier that fits in your pocket. Amazing! Around town, on the trail, or exploring foreign lands, it’s made from tough ripstop nylon, has an adjustable shoulder strap (expands from 24 - 48"), a mesh ventilation panel, an internal collar clip, a treat pocket, and a convenient storage carabiner. perfect for when you’re taking the subway, bus, or train, or on hikes and camping with your dog, or if your pet is older, injured... or just plain old tired! The PocoPet securely carries pets up to 15 pounds, and dogs that measure up to 13″ from chest to rear. Load us up!
Last, but by no means least, we want to express our gratitude to you, dear reader. It’s thanks to the support you give us that we can spend our lives doing what we love best, and there is nothing we are more grateful for than that. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, and a HUGE thanks from all of us! 🧡🦃🐾🐶🐈🐕🐩🧡
