Is it just us, or did December get here really fast? It feels like one minute we were at the beach feeling the sun on our faces and the sand in our toes and paws, and the next we’re a few weeks shy of 2024!
We’ve written before about the speed with which the years fly by, and why (in fact, we wrote about it 366 days ago, HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?), but no matter how much of a blur the year has been, we are always super excited when we get to December. Between Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Christmas, and the biggie, National Horse Day (for the 2 or 3 of you who can’t quite recall the day, it’s December 13th, and it’s gonna be LIT), there is much to do and much to celebrate. So what better way to do so than with a 12 day treat extravaganza? That’s right, The Twelve Days of Treats are upon us.
Our friends and fellow fête enthusiasts at Bocce’s Bakery are back with their festive favorite, the Brushy Sticks & Biscuits Advent Calendar, with no fewer than 12 treat-filled windows for your pet to enjoy. Wheat-free, and baked here in the USA, it’s the perfect way to make the most of the most wonderful time of the year.
Plus, plus, our 20% site wide offer on orders of $50 or more is still going strong, so why not grab a couple, and some holiday gifts too! Just use code HOLIDAY2023 at check out.
Happy Treating, everyone!

Basically, enough things change enough and that means we're in a new phase. Having said that, we have been thinking recently of a contrast: animals and pets are consistently dominant in pop culture - no changes please and thank you - and every single era celebrates and records them. In our current human-centric age, this seems at first, ahem, glance odd, but as we have previously noted, there are 6.5 BILLION cat pictures on the internet which is only slight fewer than the number of selfies on Kylie Jenner's phone (7 billion, allegedly). In our view, this is as it should be, but it set us thinking: why? Why are animals more enduring across cultures, eras, continents, and content than anything else? Step this way...
