How do I love thee? Let me count the ways...

Earlier this month, we celebrated Pet Parent Appreciation Day by publishing a letter from one of our canine community to her mom, expressing her gratitude and love; well, it seems that this letter spoke to one of the pup parents in our community who penned a response! As Dog Appreciation Month nears its end, we couldn’t think of a better way to honor it than publishing that letter, where the words of one speak for many. Dogs, we love you!

Dear Dogs, Doggos, Doglets, and Dogginses, 

How do I love thee? It's hard to count the ways, for my love is limitless;

I love the way you nap as soon as you have finished breakfast. 

I love the way you sit with your tail in your water bowl to cool yourself down. I love the way you steal my seat the minute I move and act as if it were your seat all along.

I love the way you keep our home safe with your program of window watching, neighbor monitoring, and selective borking.

I love the way you run at TOP SPEED to bed multiple times every evening, starting right after dinner, despite having slept almost all day. 

I could go on, but what is love without the odd love token? Love transcends the material, but I love to care for you and spoil you with the very best so let's count some of those... 

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways, perhaps with your favorite treats in all the flavors you enjoy? And should that be insufficient, let me supplement those treats with meal toppers over your dinner, served in a fancy dish. 

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways with a selection of squeaky toys in a bewildering range of colors, sizes, and presentations. On second thoughts, it might be better not to try to count the squeakers but recognize there is no such thing as too many squeakers and immediately buy more. 

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways with, I’m thinking, 3 walks a day, each with its own collar and leash, and each with no limits on mud rolling, squirrel barking, stick collecting, gamboling, and generally clowning around.

How do I love thee?
